Bright is just the sweetest dog ever, with amazing snuggling skills and manages to be super affectionate without being annoying or pushy. She can expertly jump right into your lap and snuggle her head up next to yours while giving your arm a hug and suddenly you feel like the most special and loved being in the universe. She's just that good. And you should feel special, as Bright does not give out her special snuggles indiscriminately, but once you become one of HER people she can spot you a mile away and her whole body wag and smile just draws you right in.
Bright was not a planned addition to our household, I never wanted a one of those moody female border collies - and we were in absolutely no position to add another dog. Yet, here she stayed, and we have never regretted it. Bright has been such a wonderful addition to our household, she managed to charm all the dogs and they let her get away with anything. That might be true of the humans as well - yes, she's really is that good.
Bright is an incredibly easy dog, she's a joy to live with, you never have to worry about her doing anything naughty - and if she does, she's just so damn charming you can't get mad at her. She is our constant undemanding shadow, always ready to cuddle or play - she never gets angry or mad, she really is our bright ray of sunshine. You know, with a touch of dramatic, because Bright IS a girl, and girls always have to make everything way more complicated than it needs to be.
Still, Bright is not at all dramatic when she's working, she's a SERIOUS little worker - she wants to be accurate and correct, yet she doesn't stress or worry about being wrong. Our biggest issue is getting her to loosen up, the girl never wants to stop. She's a great problem solver and a very quick learner, very fun to train. In fact, sometimes Bright is a little TOO easy - I don't know what do with a dog that just picks up everything so quickly, what's the challenge in that?
